We did a special thing at S.W.E.A.T. 1000 throughout the country today for the 18th of July for Mandela day. All classes were 67 minutes as appose to the usual 60 (minutes). So S.W.E.A.T. 1000 is giving all the proceeds of the classes and these t-shirts that they’re selling to the Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital. It is easy to give funds, that’s one thing. It is another thing to say: “Right, we are raising funds, plus we want you to sweat for it as well.” S.W.E.A.T. 1000 is taking fitness and charity and putting it together. It is an amazing initiative. This is a great opportunity for people to step out of their comfort zone do something good for them and
at the same time do something good for a great cause. You benefit from it and charity benefits from it. Sweating it out; it was all for a good cause. It is a great idea. I think it’s a chance for people to get
involved in exercise and a worthwhile cause. It is just so inspiring to be involved in a ‘giving back’ class. The coming together and the community aspect
of S.W.E.A.T. 1000 really stood out today and it’s amazing how
people supported today. People really showed up today, not just to get fit, but to give back. Having seen the support, it just makes us
want to do more and give back more and now start planning for the next
event where we can contribute to another great cause.
