Shia LaBeouf honors his rodeo-clown dad with unusual painted necklace – Fox News

Shia LaBeouf found a quirky new way to pay tribute to his father.  The 33-year-old actor was spotted arriving at “Jimmy Kimmel Live” in Los Angeles on Wednesday wearing AirPods, a bright yellow sweatshirt, his favorite pair of cropped grey skinny jeans, pristine white socks and beat-up white sneakers  He accessorized with a bold custom necklace with a tiny framed, hand-painted image of his father, Jeffrey Craig LaBeouf, done up in his rodeo clown makeup and costume  The sentimental piece of jewelry is an homage not only to the actor’s parent, but also to his new movie “Honey Boy,” in which he plays a character based on his own dad, often clad in this very same costume and face paint  The film’s end credits include black and white images of his father with his chicken, Henrietta LaFowl, from his time spent as a Cajun circus mime and rodeo clown  “My dad wasn’t trying to have my play him, so I lied to him and told him that Mel Gibson would be playing him,” LaBeouf told the late night host during his interview “He signed the paperwork, then I got home and I broke it to him, I sent him pictures I said, ‘Listen man, it’s not like that.’ True story.”   Share this:
