Snowstorm in South Wales, UK, PART 2 with Imo and Izzy. ❄ The Beast From The East Meets Storm Emma.

Good morning! So, it hasn’t snowed in the night, but it is snowing now. It’s just started, I think, so let’s see how that unfolds. It is so cold here in my loft, that I’m sitting on the floor, in front of my fan heater, so that’s what that whirring noise is. We have supposedly two groups today. Now, the first one’s definitely cancelled because of snow and I’m waiting to hear about the second one. But even so, if it really starts chucking it down, we might not go to our second one because we might not be able to get back home. Anyway, I’m gonna have a bit of a chill-out now. I’m gonna actually have an hour or two of complete doing what I like, because I’ve had such a busy week and weekend. I haven’t stopped. But I am this morning. Which’ll be lovely. It’s about half past ten now. I don’t think the snow is coming to very much yet, but I’m just looking at the internet, we’re in this big orange blob here. Massive snow warning. One of our groups is cancelled already, I found out from Facebook and I’m just gonna check my email to see if the later one is as well. No. There’s nothing about the evening group on the email. There is a weather warning email from Arriva Trains Wales though. Hmmm! I wonder what this is all about. A very large number of Arriva Trains Wales services are cancelled, and amended timetables are in operation throughout our rail network due to the current severe weather. Trains may also run with reduced coaches. Rail replacement buses will also be limited. Please only travel if absolutely necessary. Be prepared for further delays and disruption, as the situation is liable to change without prior notice. So I’m kinda thinking that even if evening group isn’t cancelled, we probably shouldn’t try to go to it anyway. So that’s the roof opposite, there. So, it’s like, it’s just blowing straight off. It’s not sticky snow. It’s all coming in my window. Yeh, see: it’s not even sticking on here. But it’s about -5c (23f) so it SHOULD be, in theory. (slurp) Ahh! Back in my bed with tea now. Nothing like it on a snowy day, when you can’t go anywhere. Just be in bed: duvet, fluffy fleece, cup of warm tea, and binge-watching vlogs. (I’m) Just in my element! Oh! News just in. My Saturday rehearsal is cancelled because of the snow. More texts coming in: boyfriend this time. We’re not sure if we’re gonna be able to see each other this weekend, because of traffic chaos caused by snow and being snowed in. We’ll just have to see how that pans out too. Lots of unknowns in this vlog, today. It’s about half past eleven now. Um, the snow is still coming down. Now the latest bit of snow news is my neighbour just phoned up because their water was off and they wanted to know if ours was off, and before I had a chance to go and check, their water came back on. There was an almighty bang and it came back on. So I don’t know what that’s all about. I’ve decided I’d quite like a walk, in spite of there being a severe weather warning. I’m gonna walk the couple of miles to my local town, and buy some fruit. I’m hoping it’ll be quiet in the shops today. Anyway, I’ve had the bright idea to put these leggings on under my jeans, because when I was coming back from the train station the other day it was blooming, biting cold around the legs. There was an icy waft going up my trouser legs. Ah, now before I go, I should tell you about Sweatcoin, right, I was watching Roadside Rick’s video the other day, and he was talking about these apps that he’d downloaded that apparently pay you money to walk? Now, this seems a bit too good to be true, but anyway, in his video description, he had two affiliate links, so I clicked on both of them. The first one didn’t work because it said it was only for U.S., so that excluded me, but if you’re from the U.S. you could go to his channel and try it. I’ll leave a link in the description below. But I’ve tried this one: Sweatcoin and it’s…. I’ve logged in and I haven’t started yet. Apparently it only logs your outside steps, so I’m gonna walk now a couple of miles and then a couple of miles back, so I’m gonna do about four miles, and we’ll see what this reading is when we get back. I don’t know if you can see it here. It’s not doing it now I’ve got the camera out, but the snow is just not sticking at all, it’s so fine and powdery. It’s just blowing. So here it’s blowing right round the corner, and it’s mounding up in this drift here. Oooh! Come back! One little problem I’ve had is it’s so windy right, the wind keeps taking my trolley and blowing it up! It’s done it again: it’s blown off! (grunts) (wind noise) Right. I need to put this camera away: my hands are freezing! About 20 minutes later, here I am in town and well, still not an awful lot of snow, as you can see. I wonder if this, er, Beast From The East is gonna turn out to be a big load of fuss about nothing! Oh look. Somebody’s art-bombed in the supermarket. That’s nice. There’s a little robin here. It keeps jumping away from me whenever I come near. Whooop. There he goes. He’s been doing this for ages. I’m just trying to catch that snow blowing around. Don’t lick that bit. Brrrrrr! I think it’s time to get in! Just checking in on this Sweatcoin app. Well, it did say I’d done like, 1 dollar something and then I dunno, I think I might have accidentally pressed something and then it went up to $5? So, I dunno. I can’t believe it’s real money. I think it must be to get products off a certain website, or something. I don’t know. I’ll look into it further. It’s about ten to six now, in the evening. The light is beginning to fade, and snow is building up er, in my back garden here, where the wind isn’t able to blow it away too much. It’s building up on the steps. Oooh! There’s another big swirl of wind, just as I was speaking. My garden’s looking a bit of a mess at the moment, because we’ve been doing the bathroom, obviously, and we haven’t done a run to the tip yet, to get rid of the debris. Ah, OK, yeh, it’s on the road now. It wasn’t earlier, when I got back from the shop. There must be one hell of a snow drift somewhere! Where is it all going? Oooh, opening the window for two seconds. Oh, good heavens, that’s cold. It’s about twenty past six now. I’ve just been chilling out for a bit, having a rest here, um, the wind is HOWLING, it’s been really roaring outside there, and I feel a draft. So this house is centrally heated with double glazing, so how I am feeling a draft I do not know. I’ve gone round and checked, and everything’s closed. But somehow there is still a draft. It’s so cold. This is my thermostat here. 14 and a half degrees Celsius. I’ve moved that thermostat up to the loft in the hope that it will actually get warm up here now. It’s been up for about half an hour or so, but it’s still cold. It’s dark now. Dark. The storm still rages on but there’s no point in me vlogging any more about it, I don’t think, this evening, since there is nothing, even, to see. Um, I’ll update you in the morning about what happens next. I’ll be quite interested to see how the world is in the morning when we get up. I’ve still got a really cold draft wafting up my trouser legs, which is quite impressive, considering that I’m wearing leggings underneath. Anyway, I’m gonna end the vlog there. Thank you so much for hanging out with us on this freezing cold day. Don’t forget to give the video a like, if you liked it, cos it really helps the channel to grow. Comment down your thoughts. 1. Good morning! I'm only just now learning about the "Beat From the East" how interesting! I can't belive how BLUE it looked outside.
lol, never lick the yellow snow. Ew!

  2. I feel cold just watching this. And that's not just because it's actually cold here too! BRRR When is this winter going to end!

  3. Good thing you didn't get too heavy. The flying trolley was funny to watch. It's just too cold to be outside!

  4. That wind was horrific! For a moment i thought it was going to blow you down. That wind makes it seem so much colder.stay warm and safe! No not affected by the Beast From the East down here in sunny Florida, USA. However it has seemed to get a bit of cold in the air since I've been watching your video. Well there I have it I'm affected after all through your video lol. Hope you have a good day and can stay warm.

  5. Base layer is the best investment ever. It's about the only way I survive the wind in the winter. Just say no to #sexytimesdrafts

  6. Draught,,,not draft,,,very good,,,carry on. Im so tired of people thinking that they have snow,,,,I had the snow last month in in Moscow. Here in Wales we like to think we have the best of everything. You rattled on about group this and group that,,had me right upset at the lack of information,,,I deduced you were talking about band stuff,,,rehearsal etc,,,tch,,,honestly. Your attic room should have an exit vent to the atmosphere,,,this is what is making you feel a draught,,,if you dont have one in that room assembly,,,your property is illegal and should be condemned. I will send Teresa Mannion around on Monday,,,she will broadcast the illegal status of your home/house. You will feature in millions of hits and sadly,,will not reap any money. The robin at your feet was looking for food,,,you are so mean,,,

  7. I am always amazed by how that fine, gritty, powdery snow can weasel its way into all sort of spots when driven by a strong wind. I've had it come around the closed windows in my truck and pile up on the seats (or on me). Nearly spit out my drink when you speculated about the presence of the "big drift someplace".

  8. If you cut some thick newspapers' squares and put them between the insoles of your boots and your feet ,you''ll be protected against the snow and the chill of the pavement. Also grab some elastic bands and place them around your jeans' hems whether you have to get out again…This will prevent the cold drafts from wafting up your trousers legs. Another detail ,try to buy some extra provisions ,if some roads are closed , the supermarkets might not be stocking enough merchandise…Give preference to mineral water ,chocolate bars and lentils…If the water is off ,you have reserves to drink ,and the lentils and chocolate bars are outstanding sources of energy for your body in case the cold gets unbearable…

  9. I have got to stop watching these cold vlogs as I don't need any help having the shivers at the moment. 😉 i hope it warms up soon for you.

  10. Great snowy channel like always, my continued support is here, have a wonderful day, if you stopby my chan please comment on a older video I will not be uploading but once every two days

  11. Nice to have a snow day with hot tea. I think you guys are getting our snow. lol I walk a lot so I want to be paid too so I hope it's real money lol. So nice hanging out with, Imo. Enjoy the rest of the snow weekend. hugssss, Rosie

  12. It was nice hanging out with you pretty woman. The footage was good, entertaining, and the scenes were good. Stay warm my friend ! Thumbs up from Kingsport, Tn !

  13. You make snow seem exciting. 🙂 We had a nor'easter in Pennsylvania the past couple days. We had some snow, rain and ice and a lot of wind. Everything melted right away, but the wind lasted the longest. I haven't been outside today, but it doesn't sound windy today. I don't understand how the highest point inside your house is the coldest. Maybe the draft is up there?

  14. Do you normally get much snow on your end? Looks like everything shuts down & cancels when places dont get much snow. Where here in Canada we don't shutdown or stay inside. That wind was pretty crazy & you looked so cold

  15. I also wear leggings under my jeans while out and about in the snow.. Where IS all the snow going?? That made me laugh. 😂

  16. Hi Imo and Izzy I’m dan909c blogs on his new account,

  17. That little bird kept trying to get away from you, if he only knew how nice a person you are he would not have run away like that 🙂
