Good morning! So, it hasn’t snowed in the night, but it is snowing now. It’s just started, I think, so let’s see how that unfolds. It is so cold here in my loft, that I’m sitting on the floor, in front of my fan heater, so that’s what that whirring noise is. We have supposedly two groups today. Now, the first one’s definitely cancelled because of snow and I’m waiting to hear about the second one. But even so, if it really starts chucking it down, we might not go to our second one because we might not be able to get back home. Anyway, I’m gonna have a bit of a chill-out now. I’m gonna actually have an hour or two of complete doing what I like, because I’ve had such a busy week and weekend. I haven’t stopped. But I am this morning. Which’ll be lovely. It’s about half past ten now. I don’t think the snow is coming to very much yet, but I’m just looking at the internet, we’re in this big orange blob here. Massive snow warning. One of our groups is cancelled already, I found out from Facebook and I’m just gonna check my email to see if the later one is as well. No. There’s nothing about the evening group on the email. There is a weather warning email from Arriva Trains Wales though. Hmmm! I wonder what this is all about. A very large number of Arriva Trains Wales services are cancelled, and amended timetables are in operation throughout our rail network due to the current severe weather. Trains may also run with reduced coaches. Rail replacement buses will also be limited. Please only travel if absolutely necessary. Be prepared for further delays and disruption, as the situation is liable to change without prior notice. So I’m kinda thinking that even if evening group isn’t cancelled, we probably shouldn’t try to go to it anyway. So that’s the roof opposite, there. So, it’s like, it’s just blowing straight off. It’s not sticky snow. It’s all coming in my window. Yeh, see: it’s not even sticking on here. But it’s about -5c (23f) so it SHOULD be, in theory. (slurp) Ahh! Back in my bed with tea now. Nothing like it on a snowy day, when you can’t go anywhere. Just be in bed: duvet, fluffy fleece, cup of warm tea, and binge-watching vlogs. (I’m) Just in my element! Oh! News just in. My Saturday rehearsal is cancelled because of the snow. More texts coming in: boyfriend this time. We’re not sure if we’re gonna be able to see each other this weekend, because of traffic chaos caused by snow and being snowed in. We’ll just have to see how that pans out too. Lots of unknowns in this vlog, today. It’s about half past eleven now. Um, the snow is still coming down. Now the latest bit of snow news is my neighbour just phoned up because their water was off and they wanted to know if ours was off, and before I had a chance to go and check, their water came back on. There was an almighty bang and it came back on. So I don’t know what that’s all about. I’ve decided I’d quite like a walk, in spite of there being a severe weather warning. I’m gonna walk the couple of miles to my local town, and buy some fruit. I’m hoping it’ll be quiet in the shops today. Anyway, I’ve had the bright idea to put these leggings on under my jeans, because when I was coming back from the train station the other day it was blooming, biting cold around the legs. There was an icy waft going up my trouser legs. Ah, now before I go, I should tell you about Sweatcoin, right, I was watching Roadside Rick’s video the other day, and he was talking about these apps that he’d downloaded that apparently pay you money to walk? Now, this seems a bit too good to be true, but anyway, in his video description, he had two affiliate links, so I clicked on both of them. The first one didn’t work because it said it was only for U.S., so that excluded me, but if you’re from the U.S. you could go to his channel and try it. I’ll leave a link in the description below. But I’ve tried this one: Sweatcoin and it’s…. I’ve logged in and I haven’t started yet. Apparently it only logs your outside steps, so I’m gonna walk now a couple of miles and then a couple of miles back, so I’m gonna do about four miles, and we’ll see what this reading is when we get back. I don’t know if you can see it here. It’s not doing it now I’ve got the camera out, but the snow is just not sticking at all, it’s so fine and powdery. It’s just blowing. So here it’s blowing right round the corner, and it’s mounding up in this drift here. Oooh! Come back! One little problem I’ve had is it’s so windy right, the wind keeps taking my trolley and blowing it up! It’s done it again: it’s blown off! (grunts) (wind noise) Right. I need to put this camera away: my hands are freezing! About 20 minutes later, here I am in town and well, still not an awful lot of snow, as you can see. I wonder if this, er, Beast From The East is gonna turn out to be a big load of fuss about nothing! Oh look. Somebody’s art-bombed in the supermarket. That’s nice. There’s a little robin here. It keeps jumping away from me whenever I come near. Whooop. There he goes. He’s been doing this for ages. I’m just trying to catch that snow blowing around. Don’t lick that bit. Brrrrrr! I think it’s time to get in! Just checking in on this Sweatcoin app. Well, it did say I’d done like, 1 dollar something and then I dunno, I think I might have accidentally pressed something and then it went up to $5? So, I dunno. I can’t believe it’s real money. I think it must be to get products off a certain website, or something. I don’t know. I’ll look into it further. It’s about ten to six now, in the evening. The light is beginning to fade, and snow is building up er, in my back garden here, where the wind isn’t able to blow it away too much. It’s building up on the steps. Oooh! There’s another big swirl of wind, just as I was speaking. My garden’s looking a bit of a mess at the moment, because we’ve been doing the bathroom, obviously, and we haven’t done a run to the tip yet, to get rid of the debris. Ah, OK, yeh, it’s on the road now. It wasn’t earlier, when I got back from the shop. There must be one hell of a snow drift somewhere! Where is it all going? Oooh, opening the window for two seconds. Oh, good heavens, that’s cold. It’s about twenty past six now. I’ve just been chilling out for a bit, having a rest here, um, the wind is HOWLING, it’s been really roaring outside there, and I feel a draft. So this house is centrally heated with double glazing, so how I am feeling a draft I do not know. I’ve gone round and checked, and everything’s closed. But somehow there is still a draft. It’s so cold. This is my thermostat here. 14 and a half degrees Celsius. I’ve moved that thermostat up to the loft in the hope that it will actually get warm up here now. It’s been up for about half an hour or so, but it’s still cold. It’s dark now. Dark. The storm still rages on but there’s no point in me vlogging any more about it, I don’t think, this evening, since there is nothing, even, to see. Um, I’ll update you in the morning about what happens next. I’ll be quite interested to see how the world is in the morning when we get up. I’ve still got a really cold draft wafting up my trouser legs, which is quite impressive, considering that I’m wearing leggings underneath. Anyway, I’m gonna end the vlog there. Thank you so much for hanging out with us on this freezing cold day. Don’t forget to give the video a like, if you liked it, cos it really helps the channel to grow. Comment down your thoughts.
