Water Spotted Nail Art

In today’s video I will be sharing with you
a fun new technique I came up with that have your nails looking really cool and unique.
So let’s get this cutepolish design started! Start off with a base coat and paint your
nails any colour that you’d like. I chose to use a white background first, and then
layer some bright neon colours over it. Using the white first really makes the neon shades
POP! Wrap some tape around the sides and the top of your finger to help with the clean
up process at the end. Next, fill up a disposable cup with slightly warm water from the tap.
Then drop black polish onto the surface of the water three to four times. If the polish
does not spread out like this, then you need to go back and either adjust the temperature
of the water or use a newer bottle of polish. Next you will need a spray bottle of hand-sanitizer.
You can find these at pharmacies or Wal-Marts. Quickly spray the hand sanitizer over the
surface of the water. Do this once or twice depending on how far away from the water you
were when you sprayed it and how big you want the spots to be. Quickly line up your finger
with the spots that you like and dip your nail down into it. Wait about ten seconds
for the polish on the surface of the water to dry. You can also lightly blow on it to
speed up this process. Then use a toothpick to remove the excess polish from the water.
Carefully remove your finger from the water. Pretty awesome, huh?! After you’ve removed
the tape, use polish remover to clean up around your nails. Finish off with a fast drying
top coat to seal in your design and add a beautiful shine! And that’s it! Please subscribe
and share your water spotted manicures with me on Facebook and Twitter. I’d love to see
them! Take care and I’ll seeya next time 🙂
